Chief Reuben G. Ramirez
Chief Ramirez is a dedicated law enforcement leader with nearly three decades of service, recently retiring as Assistant Chief of Police with the Dallas Police Department. His career has been defined by a deep commitment to public safety and the well-being of first responders.

Inspired by his personal experiences with secondary trauma, Chief Ramirez has become a pioneering advocate for emotional health in high-stress professions. He created the Checkpoints Program, a nationally recognized wellness initiative that emphasizes emotional survival alongside physical safety, reshaping how organizations support their teams.

Known for his raw storytelling and practical strategies, Chief Ramirez bridges the gap between field experience and emotional health solutions. His work continues to inspire systemic change and empower first responders to prioritize emotional well-being.
